VAE

VAE steht für Variational Autoencoder. Klingt kompliziert, ist aber im Grunde nur ein Bestandteil der KI, der Farben, Kontraste und Details beim fertigen Bild beeinflusst.

Ein anderes VAE kann dafür sorgen, dass Bilder:

  • kräftigere Farben haben

  • weniger ausgewaschen wirken

  • bessere Hauttöne bekommen

  • sauberer oder kontrastreicher aussehen

Gerade bei älteren Stable-Diffusion-Modellen war das wichtig, weil manche Bilder ohne passendes VAE grau, flach oder „milchig“ aussahen.

Viele moderne Checkpoints haben heute bereits ein eigenes VAE integriert. Trotzdem nutzen manche Nutzer weiterhin separate VAEs für bestimmte Looks.

Kurz gesagt:
Das VAE beeinflusst hauptsächlich, wie das fertige Bild visuell „entwickelt“ wird — ähnlich wie ein Farbprofil oder eine digitale Filmentwicklung.
